Similar to THT LEDs, THT LED displays are mounted on the circuit board or base using through-hole mounting. The construction is usually carried out using either SMD on board technology or chip on board (COB) technology.

 

The advantage of THT displays is the even distribution of light through the housing slots, also known as reflectors, across the individual segments. They are available in different designs and dimensions. This makes this display technology suitable for numerous industrial applications.
